Liverpool’s midfield would transform insanely if Klopp signs this explosive 22-year-old ace from PL rivals

Why Lewis Cook to Liverpool would be a great move

Lewis Cook was one of the rising stars for Bournemouth under Eddie Howe, before picking up an injury.

The 22-year-old recently returned to first-team action and has to continue working on his fitness.

However, the English midfielder is a target for Liverpool and Chelsea. The Daily Mail (h/t Daily Star) claims that both clubs are keen on signing quality local talent with Cook fitting the bill.

Lewis Cook

The 22-year-old played for England last year and if he can regain his fitness, the midfielder would be an excellent signing for the Reds.

More running in the midfield

Cook is known for his incredible energy in the middle of the park and would fit well into Liverpool’s midfield.

The 22-year-old is a great passer of the ball and has a great shot in him too, something that the Reds could use in the team.

Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho are great together, but they still need more legs in the team.

The trio cover a lot of ground and the Reds have James Milner, Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita as cover.

Only Milner is the player who keeps on putting quality performances, but he is 33. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita have also have their injury problems while Lallana is nowhere near his best.

Keita needs to step up this season but he always seems to have a niggling injury. Oxlade-Chamberlain will take time to get back to his best after his ACL problem, and they could do with a similar kind of player in the team.

Marko Grujic could get some games for us next season but needs to have a great season with Hertha Berlin again.

Adam Lallana of Liverool

Lallana hasn’t impressed much either during the chances he has been handed, and Cook could be the right signing for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp has done well with most of the players at the Reds and the German could take Cook to the next level.

The 22-year-old has the potential to improve further but needs to stay fit.

Cook wouldn’t start games for the Reds should he join, but he can be a replacement for Henderson or even Milner in the coming years.
