Tottenham must grab the chance and sign this dynamic English U21 star to inject fresh blood into their attack

Why Eberechi Eze to Tottenham would be a sublime deal

According to a report by Football London, Tottenham and a number of other Premier League sides are tracking Queens Park Rangers starlet, Eberechi Eze.

Eberechi Eze, 21, has been in sublime form for Queens Park Rangers this season, inspiring their promotion push. QPR currently sit fifth and that is largely thanks to the 21-year-old’s tally of six goals and two assists in 12 games.

However, he missed out on the EFL’s Team of the Week despite his superb display away at Hull City at the weekend.

Eze is contracted to QPR until the summer of 2021, having penned an extension with the Loftus Road side last year. With three goals in his last two games, he is hitting form and attracting attention. That being said, Tottenham must go all out to land the nippy attacker to north London.

Tottenham haven’t enjoyed a great start to the new Premier League season despite heavy investment over the summer. Mauricio Pochettino has started feeling the heat for the first time in his managerial career at Tottenham and he’ll need to quickly turnaround the club’s fortunes to avoid the sack.

The Argentinean tactician has a glowing reputation of nurturing youth and has earned widespread praise for building a Tottenham side filled with exciting young players.

The likes of Harry Winks, Kyle Walker-Peters and Oliver Skipp’s breakthrough at the club have been another ringing endorsement of Pochettino’s trust in youth. Time and again he has proved his ability to develop young talent.

Since leaving Southampton and stepping into Spurs’ hot seat, Pochettino has primarily focused on signing young players as well as nurture academy kids. In fact, teenage talents Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke both completed permanent switches in the summer, with the latter immediately returning on loan to Leeds United.

The bottom line is that Spurs go for exciting talent over readymade superstars and that should be enough for Eberechi Eze to choose the north Londoners if they come calling for his signature.

A player full of flair, skill and flamboyance, Eze has been thriving for the Loftus Road side and tearing up the Championship. He has been a consistent menace for defenders this season, showing he’s definitely a cut above others of similar age group.

The England Under-21 international is an exciting talent, capable of playing in different positions in midfield and attack.

He has grown into the attacking midfield role, rightfully attracting a lot of attention. In fact, Eze has been lighting up the Championship for QPR over the past two seasons and is only going to get better.

Verdict

Eze is a special talent and Spurs simply must make a move for him in January. The 21-year-old is almost perfect for Pochettino and Spurs.
