We cannot argue over the fact that Chelsea Fc are having their little army around Europe. I’m here talking about Chelsea’s youth players who are usually sent on loan to get nurtured. Chelsea are having a bad reputation when the talk is about giving the chances to their youths.
Lucas Piazon, the 22 year old Brazilian is one of the many youngsters Chelsea have deployed across Europe. Lucas Piazon was meant to be the next big thing for the side, but sadly for the player, he became more of a traveler who visited Spain, Netherlands and Germany as Chelsea’s loanee.
The London club made the same mistake with Belgian sensation Kevin de Bruyne and the player has become one of the best in his department. Lucas on the other hand, is a talented player who was wanted by many big clubs including Juventus, but it was Chelsea who secured the services of the Brazilian.
In the initial stages of his Chelsea career, he played with the reserve team and was named the Chelsea Young Player of the Year. Chelsea’s supporters never really had a perfect glimpse of the player as he was mostly out on loan.
The Blues could have used the boy in his teenage to make him one of the best in the current scenario, but the club had some other plans for him. It has been a very bitter season for the club this year and with a new manager coming to the squad, many ins and outs will be happening in the coming transfer season and that leaves us to ask a question that does Lucas Piazon has a future at Chelsea?
Lucas, in the current era is still considered as one of the best attacking youngsters in the industry. It has been 5 years since he joined the Blues in hope of a better future, but the youngster has still not got the opportunity to showcase the talent. Piazon now has all the experience in the world as he has played in almost every top leagues in Europe. But to be very honest, with the players like Willian, Hazard and Pedro, Lucas stands no chance to break it into the first team now.
Well, it is never too late in football and Leicester this season has proved the same, but I guess Lucas’s career as a Chelsea man is coming to an end and the team might be losing yet another De Bruyne in the form of Lucas Piazon. The player is still young and have his entire career to show for and that is why, it is better for him to make a move to a different club, where he will get a regular first team experience because he has still got the talent and it is being wasted at Stamford Bridge.
Being a Brazilian blood, the player is extremely fast and knows how to control the game in midfield. He is also known for his brilliant finishing as he possesses a very powerful shooting ability. The attacking midfielder is often compared to Brazilian legend Ricardo Kaka and Lucas does have a similar playing style to that of him. Lucas is a gifted player and is capable of playing the game as a winger or as an attacking midfielder and if wants to pursue his career in the sport, he shall find another club.
