Arsenal signing this 19-year-old lower league starlet would add strength to the future

Why Arsenal should reignite their interest in young striker Loader

Back in May, The Sun had claimed that Arsenal were linked with a move for Reading striker Danny Loader. However, the Gunners lost their interest and no deal materialised.

19-year-old Danny Loader made 21 appearances for the Championship side last year and is pursued by a lot of clubs in England, according to The Sun.

However, the youngster has just six months left on his Reading contract, and Arsenal could now once again reignite their interests in the talented centre-forward.

The youngster was also a part of the 2017 under-17 World Cup-winning England squad, which further enhances his reputation.

However, it has not been the most favourable of situations for the young man, as he has appeared in just four matches in the Championship this season. To add to his woes, the youngster has not been able to find the back of the net even once.

Meanwhile, in Premier League 2, Loader proved his mettle by scoring three from two games and looks set for more. He was impressive last season too in the lower division, with 10 goals and one assist from 11 matches.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have endured a difficult start to their league campaign. They are sixth on the table and have failed to win any of their last four league outings.

The Gunners have scored 18 goals in the league so far, while conceding 19, raising few doubts about their defence.

For Arsenal, star striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has done the bulk of the scoring with 8 goals. Having scored half of his side’s goals, he still retains his place as one of the most potent threats in front of goal.

Meanwhile, Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette has not been in the best of forms, having managed just 4 goals this season. Still, he remains one of their high-profile names in the squad.

Having not won any trophies for some time now, Arsenal currently compete in the Europa League after failing to secure a champions league berth last season. By the looks of it, this season is not going in Arsenal’s favour at the moment.

With all this in mind, it would be really wise of Arsenal to pursue their interests in the young Loader, who could turn out to be a viable future investment.

Verdict

With star players such as Aubameyang and Lacazette yet to commit their future, it would be safe for Arsenal to invest their resources on the young Loader, who will be a free agent in the summer.
