Why Arsenal should definitely make the move for Ismaila Sarr

According to The Sun, Arsenal are interested in signing Senagalese prodigy Ismaila Sarr. The Rennes winger starred for his country at the World Cup and was shortlisted for the Golden Boy award.

After his performances, a number of English clubs have been tracking him. The likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are all interested in acquiring his services. Inter Milan are also said to be watching the player closely but it seems as though Arsenal is the perfect destination for the youngster.

The Gunners are rebuilding under new manager Unai Emery this season, who, since losing the opening two league games of the season, has gone unbeaten in all competitions. As the Gunners embark upon the post-Wenger era, they are certainly going to need new players who can adapt to Emery’s style.

Arsenal are currently in good form as well and their high octane football philosophy will certainly suit the 20-year-old. Sarr scored a sublime goal in the Europa League as well last week to underline his talent.

Rennes have rated the player at around £20million and considering this market, Arsenal should certainly make a move for the player. Though the Ligue 1 outfit are reluctant not to sell their starlet, the prospect of playing in the Premier League should be more than enough to convince the youngster.

He is generally deployed as a right winger, but Sarr is also comfortable playing on the left flank. What makes him even more enticing is his ability to play as a central striker as well. Sarr is a good finisher and is very clinical in front of the goal. This will provide Unai Emery with more options up front.
