Dutch outfit Ajax have put a £6m price-tag on midfielder superstar Davy Klaassen, as per recent reports. The 22-year-old superstar was an integral part of the side, after breaking into the first-team two years ago. The youngster joined Ajax in 2004 and was wanted by Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal. The Dutch media touts him as the next Bergkamp.
With a total of 91 appearances in all competitions to his name, scoring 21 goals, both the Red Devils and the Gunners were keen on looking to bring him to England.
Apart from the English clubs, Serie A champions Juventus and Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund were also keen on completing a move, with Dutch newspaper Voetbal International stating that Klaassen could possible leave Ajax for a timid price of around £6m.
The attacking midfielder has two international caps for Holland as well and could look to move to Old Trafford to join his compatriot and the former Dutch national side boss Louis van Gaal.
Despite all the speculations, it seems Dortmund are leading the race to sign him, as he is considered the perfect replacement for Marco Reus, in case the German international opts to leave.
