According to a report in Evening Standard, Premier League champions Manchester City are hoping to beat Manchester United and Barcelona to sign Benfica starlet Ronaldo Camara.

The 16-year-old has been considered as one of the most sought-out youngsters in football, who is touted to be a star in the game. The Red Devils and the Catalans have been scouting him for a while. (h/t Evening Standard)

However, Manchester City are also keeping close track of the teenager and hope to sign him and add to their already-talented academy. Camara is a Portugal U17 international, who is currently playing for the Benfica U19 side.

Ronaldo Camara is a dynamic attacking midfielder who started his career playing for Sporting Lisbon, where he joined in 2012. Three years later, the teenager changed colours and started playing for Benfica.

The teenager eventually signed his first professional contract in January 2019, keeping him at Benfica till 2022.
