Who is this hugely talented 21-year-old on Liverpool and Everton’s radar? A good prospect?

Who is Liverpool and Everton target Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld? A huge rising talent?

According to a report in Daily Mail, Premier League clubs Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton are tracking Club Brugge winger Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld. AC Milan have had a £9m bid rejected for this exciting Dutch international who has attracted a lot of interest from several clubs despite being out of action since October.

The injury came at the worst time for the player just after he scored a stunning goal for the Belgian club against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. He also opened his account for the national team in a game against Belgium.

However, that setback won’t keep him out of football for long and Brugge are aware of the interest the player is attracting (h/t Daily Mail).

As per the report, Premier League champions Manchester City once enquired about the availability of the 21-year-old. Hence, we can say that there will be a fierce competition among the clubs looking to sign him. Let’s take a look at the player in this scout report:

Scout Report – Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld

Age – 21

Position – Left wing

Current Club – Club Brugge

Born in Nigeria, Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld started his youth career at Dutch club FC Oss in 2008. He then joined PSV Eindhoven in the same year and stayed there for six years.

Spending time at a top level club and playing youth football helped him grow as a player and showcase his quality to impress the managers.

The Dutch international made his professional debut for second division club Jong PSV against NAC Breda. In the summer of 2016, he signed for NEC Nijmegen and made his debut against former club PSV in September 2016. Groeneveld stayed at NEC for a couple of years, scoring 9 goals in 36 appearances.

In 2018, the winger joined Club Brugge and has played wonderfully well for the Belgian club, scoring 5 goals and supplying 4 assists in 15 appearances in all competitions. Predominantly a left winger, the youngster can also play as a supporting striker.

In terms of the attributes he possesses, he has the pace to terrorise defenders in the wide areas. He can dribble past defenders and create space for a cross or a shot on goal. His physicality allows him to hold off the players and take good care of the ball in counter-attacking situations.

All in all, the 21-year-old is almost a complete winger who has few ironings to do in his game to become one of the best in the world. His arrival in the Premier League would be a welcome sight.
