The Super Bowl is possibly the biggest one-off sporting event and is watched by millions all across the globe.
The Premier League has also seen a link with the American sport as Tottenham’s new stadium will host NFL games this season.
American ‘football’ is more stop-start in nature than the English game, however, there are some big names in the competition too.
The Premier League has some of the biggest teams in the world, in terms of finances and player power, and it is tough comparing the teams from the other side of the pond.

Manchester City – New England Patriots
Manchester City have been a powerhouse in the Premier League ever since they were backed by their owners from the Middle East.
They lifted a title under Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini and now Pep Guardiola is doing the business for the Cityzens.
They have possibly the best manager of this era in Guardiola, something that New England have on their side too.
Bill Belichick is one of the best to have ever coached in the NFL and has won six Super Bowl titles, all with the Patriots.
Three of them have come in the last six years, and both teams seem set for more success in the coming years.
Manchester United – Dallas Cowboys
Manchester United were one of the biggest teams in the world in terms of winning trophies, but that is a thing of the past.
The Red Devils are still the most successful English side in terms of winning league titles, but they are far away from achieving that feat now.
United still rake in the big bucks and are one of the biggest brands in the world, but they have fallen from grace and won’t feature in the Champions League this season too.
Dallas are possibly the richest team in the NFL but the results haven’t been there for the Texas side in recent years.
The last time Dallas won the NFL was in 1995 while United last won the Premier League in 2013.
United have had more success than Dallas in the past 20 years or so, however, both giants have seen better days.
Liverpool – Kansas City Chiefs
Liverpool could have been compared to the Cowboys a couple of years ago, but Jurgen Klopp has awakened the sleeping giants of English football.
The Reds went toe-to-toe with Manchester City for the league title last season and only lost out by one point.
That didn’t stop them from reaching their second Champions League final in a row, and they lifted their first piece of silverware in nearly seven years by beating Tottenham.
Kansas City have an incredible offence at the moment, something that Liverpool also feature, but they haven’t been able to land the big prize since 1970.
Liverpool also have a barren run of almost 30 years without landing the Premier League title, but they have started this season with a bang.
The Chiefs also lost out on the AFC Championship game to New England last season, which rings a bell as City pipped Liverpool to the Premier League title.
