West Ham opinion: The Hammers should snap up Danny Welbeck

According to a report from Football.London, West Ham are looking to pick up another player from Arsenal on a free transfer. This time the name linked with West Ham is England International Danny Welbeck.

The former Manchester United star has had troubles with injury since his move to the Emirates but has always been a fine contributor when he gets his chances.

Arsenal aren’t looking to extend his stay at the club and West Ham, if they capitalize on this opportunity, will be getting a player who has a wealth of experience in playing at the highest level.

Welbeck is a great player to have in any team because he can play in various attacking positions and he has a fantastic work ethic, having been guided in his development by Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger.

Felipe Anderson has been one of the Hammers’ best players this season, playing on the left wing but his preferred position is in attacking midfield.

Welbeck could very easily play on the left wing to allow Anderson to dictate things in the middle. Welbeck can also provide the work rate that the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Andriy Yarmolenko lack.
