Wenger to make 7 changes – Predicted 4-3-2-1 Arsenal line-up to face Atletico Madrid

Predicted Arsenal Line-up To Face Atletico Madrid In The Europa League Semi-final

It was a very interesting first leg between these two teams and it seems like Arsenal might be left ruing the chances that they were missed when Atletico were down to 10-men. They failed to capitalise and came away from the tie having conceded an incredibly important away goal.

Arsenal are going to have to muster something massive if they are to get through this tie and if their away form this year is anything to go by, then their fans will be praying for a miracle.

Probable Arsenal XI

Manager: Arsene Wenger

Formation: 4-3-2-1

David Ospina (GK)

Arsenal’s cup goalkeeper has actually performed pretty well in the Europa League this season and he made some good saves in the previous leg. Will be hoping to keep a clean sheet in this leg of the tie.

Nacho Monreal (LB)

Has had a good season and has pitched in with some good goals for the Gunners this term. Should be back in his familiar role at left-back.

Laurent Koscielny (CB)

The 32-year-old has suffered from injuries this season but has still put in some good performances for Arsenal this term. Will be looking for a commanding performance in this game.

Laurent Koscielny

Shkodran Mustafi (CB)

Mustafi is a commanding centre-back but is prone to mistakes. Will be looking to stay switched on in this game and let nothing get past him. Only by staying solid at the back will Arsenal have a chance of getting through this leg.

Hector Bellerin (RB)

The pacey right-back has been fantastic when going forward for Arsenal this season but he often gets caught out positionally. Will be looking to strike that delicate balance in this game.

Aaron Ramsey (CM)

Ramsey is a player of real quality in this Arsenal team. When he plays, he makes the entire unit look better and they will be looking for a big performance from him in this game.

Aaron Ramsey

Granit Xhaka (CM)

The enforcer in central midfield for Arsenal. Prone to a nibble at his opponents, he will need to keep a cool head for his team in this game and break up the play well.

Jack Wilshere (CM)

Jack Wilshere has had an excellent comeback this season for Arsenal and it’s looking like his loan move to Bournemouth last season has really helped him recapture his form. With an England call-up looking likely he will be looking to end the season on a high.

Mesut Ozil (AMC)

Ozil is often underrated and his numbers this season speak for him. He has 5 goals and 12 assists in all competitions for the Gunners and although he occasionally goes missing, he still has the ability to change the entire game for his side.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (AMC)

Mkhitaryan has been a fantastic signing for Arsenal this season and was an inspired piece of business. He has 3 goals and 5 assists in 11 appearances and will be hoping to help his team pull a rabbit out of the hat in this game.

Alexandre Lacazette (ST)

The striker has an incredible record for Arsenal, which sees him with more goals for the Gunners than what Theirry Henry had in his debut season for Arsenal. He has 3 goals in 3 games in the Europa League and will be hoping to bag a few more here.
