The Barcelona winger has been heavily linked with Liverpool in the past few days. Though Tito Vilanova wants to keep hold of the player, it is believed that Brendan Rodgers is pushing through the move and wants to land the Chilean footballer in Merseyside. Having initially made an enquiry about a loan with a view to a permanent move in the summer, they now have hopes of sealing a straight-cash deal.
