Warming Up For Manchester United vs Chelsea: Strongest Combined XI Featuring Just 3 Blues

Warming Up For Manchester United vs Chelsea

One of the biggest games of the season is set to take place just a couple of days after the Boxing Day fixtures. Manchester United – who lost to Stoke City – face Chelsea at Old Trafford. Both teams are under immense pressure with Manchester United’s manager Louis van Gaal fielding questions about his future at the club after four consecutive defeats while Chelsea are under the management of Guus Hiddink until the end of the season after the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

Chelsea are trying to get their season back on track and had to be content with a tough 2-2 draw at home against Watford in their last game. Both teams have struggled to find form and with United not playing any great football, it must come as a worry to fans that they could miss out on the top four.

Normally any big game between the sides would feature a lot of players on top form but that hasn’t happened all that much this season. David de gea

The best goalkeeper in the league but he has been having a torrid time in keeping clean sheets now due to the defending from his teammates.

Branislav Ivanovic

The Chelsea right-back has become better as the season has progressed and deserves to be in the team simply because no other right-back from the two teams has had a better season.

Chris Smalling

Manchester United must be extremely happy with his performances this season as he has become one of the best defenders in the league and easily makes it into the combined XI.

Daley Blind

Blind might not be the most comfortable in central defence, but he has gotten better as the season has progressed and certainly gets to be part of this team.

Luke Shaw

The English defender was probably the one Manchester United player who was playing to their potential, but that horror injury in the Champions League cut his season short, but he still makes it into the team.
