Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking out to sign Everton’s Romelu Lukaku as a replacement for Giroud. The Gunners need a Centre-back as a replacement for Mertesacker and a goal scorer, hence Lukaku fits the bill here.
Arsenal are close to settling a deal for Bolton defender Rob Holding. The agreement that the Bolton are hoping includes Gunners paying £5m for the player and loan him back to the club, while Arsenal are confident that a deal is coming through for the player which includes a permanent move to the Emirates, according to the Sun.
Further, Arsenal are ready to make a serious effort to sign Real Madrid attacker Lucas Vaszquez. According to the Gunners, the 24 year old player will make an essential part of the squad as they believe that he will help in bringing out the best to the likes of Oliver Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. However, Arsenal will be facing strong competition from Bayern Munich for the player’s signature.
