Connor Goldson also had a wonderful night as he scored the second goal of the game.
Following the win, Gerrard expressed his satisfaction on overcoming Sunday’s debacle. He also insisted that such games would reinstill confidence.
The Light Blues broke their long-running win drought last night with the victory.
However, Gerrard’s hopes for a title as the Ibrox gaffer have now dematerialized with just a game left to play in this season.
Yet, the Light Blues are confident of a being a better side in the next edition of the Premiership.
