Vardy Out, Slimani To Start – Strongest 4-4-2 Leicester Line-up To Face Bournemouth In The PL

Predicted Leicester City Line-up To Face Bournemouth In The Premier League

Leicester City are back in action this weekend as the face a struggling Bournemouth side in the Premier League. The Foxes are coming into the game on the back of a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Liverpool but will be confident when they take on the field.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, lost 2-1 to Everton at Goodison Park last weekend and are 19th in the table with just 3 points.

Leicester are at 17th with 4 points but the win against Liverpool in the Carabao cup will have done them a world of good as they put in a spirited performance against the Reds in the subsequent Premier League clash.

It is surely going to be a game of high intensity between the Foxes and the Cherries, and Shakespeare will be going for the kill.

Team News

Shakespeare will be without the services of Matty James, who is set to miss this fixture. Jamie Vardy is a doubt too, due to a hip concern and Robert Huth is not ready either. However, the good news is that Vicente Iborra is ready to feature and might make an appearance against Bournemouth.

Here’s how Leicester might line up against Bournemouth:

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Craig Shakespeare

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

Schmeichel is the undisputed No.1 for Leicester and there’s no doubt about this. He’s a certain starter.

Danny Simpson (RB)

Simpson is an important figure and although he hasn’t been extraordinary for the Foxes in recent games, he is a solid defender and should start.

Wes Morgan (CB)

Morgan will be tasked with leading the back line for Leicester, in the absence of Robert Huth. His performance will be a crucial factor in deciding the game’s outcome.

Harry Maguire (CB)

The summer signing has had a splendid start to life at the King Power and should partner Morgan at the heart of the defence.

Harry Maguire

Christian Fuchs (LB)

Fuchs should replace Chilwell in the line-up. Shakespeare has been rotating his left-backs well and this game should be Fuchs’ to play.

Riyad Mahrez (RM)

The Algerian is a definite starter for the Foxes. With Vardy a doubt for this game, Mahrez will have to take up the added responsibility of organising the front line.

Wilfred Ndidi (CM)

Ndidi has become a regular for Shakespeare and should start this game as well, in central midfield. If he manages to gain control over the midfield, this game could be Leicester’s to win.

Vicente Iborra (CM)

Now that Iborra is fit to start, expect Shakespeare to slot the 29-year old in, right from the get-go.

Islam Slimani (left) and Shinji Okazaki (right)

Marc Albrighton (LM)

Albrighton is one of those underrated players in the Premier League. His performances for Leicester time and again have been overlooked and he should start this game for the Foxes.

Shinji Okazaki (CF)

Okazaki scored against Liverpool and will be hoping to score against Bournemouth as well, to add to his tally of 4.

Islam Slimani (ST)

With Jamie Vardy a doubt for the game, Slimani should get a chance to lead the line. He has scored 3 already this season and this would be a wonderful chance for him to stake his claim.
