Vardy Broke Nistelrooy’s Record But Find Out What This Arsenal Magician Did This Week

Santi Cazorla

Jamie Vardy broke Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record for scoring in consecutive games, but here’s a stat that you probably didn’t know!
The Premier League saw one individual become the first player to complete 1,000 passes this weekend, officially making him the Premier League’s best passer. Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla is the man to have achieved this feat, but find out who makes up the rest of the top 10 passers in the Premier League, according to the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index, below:

The Spaniard is proof that the Spanish tiki taka style of football is still very much the way forward, as the only Premier League player to have completed 1,000 passes so far this season. Not only is Cazorla the only player to have reached that milestone, but he has also completed more passes than any other player in the opposition half as well.
Of the 10 players who have completed the most passes in the Premier League, no player completed more passes per 90 minutes on average than Cazorla, who is averaging over 53 passes a game so far this season. Cazorla is also the most accurate of the same group of players, as the only member of the top 10 completing over 90% of his passes.
