West Brom opinion: Two possible replacements for Craig Dawson
According to a report in Birmingham Live, West Brom defender Craig Dawson faces an uncertain future at the club and could be sold to another club during this transfer window.
As per a report in the Sun, FA Cup finalists Watford have been interested in signing him, while fellow Premier League side Burnley are also in the race for a potential move.
It was suggested few days back that the Clarets and their boss Sean Dyche are huge admirers of the 29-year-old and were linked with a £15m move, but with competition coming from Watford, we can expect a tight race. (h/t Birmingham Live)
On the other hand, with West Brom expected to lose an important defender, they need to find a replacement as soon as possible to start the next season in a positive manner. Here are the two options they can look closely at:
Liam Lindsay
As per a report in the Sun, the Baggies have already been linked with a move to sign Liam Lindsay from Barnsley. So, it won’t be a bad idea to rekindle that interest and make a move this time.
The 23-year-old is a quality centre-back who is physically dominant and very good at reading the game. With him touted to make a move this summer, West Brom should look to replace Dawson by signing the youngster.

Adam Webster
Adam Webster has been a subject of interest from quite a number of Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Aston Villa. (h/t Sun)
So, despite Bristol City being adamant that the 24-year-old will be their key player next season (h/t Bristol Post) and are under no pressure to sell him, West Brom should check their resolve by making a bid.
Webster is a quality defender and a very good reader of the game, who can actually replace Dawson in the team without any fuss.
