Two Players Who Can Make Chelsea Super Strong Again – Featuring This €100 Million-Rated Forward

Chelsea, despite being crowned the Premier League champions for the 2016-17 campaign, dealt with surprise rejections from several transfer targets and although Antonio Conte, the Blues boss, managed a few new summer recruits, their squad still looks shallow and incompetent to defend the silverware. With Manchester City’s flying start to the new campaign alongside impressive Tottenham Hotspur and effective Manchester United, Chelsea are struggling to be consistent and the added stress of Champions League football has made the Italian boss agitated as well as unsure of another productive campaign.

A few disappointing outcomes piled pressure on the former Azzurri and Juventus boss, but their win against Manchester United has now extended the lifeline of his Chelsea realm. The management, however, is not expecting another ponderous transfer window and the London heavyweights could spend big in January to join the title race.

Winter is not the correct time to acquire big name stars, but a couple of inclusions might just turn Chelsea’s season around in spite of a slow start.

Ross Barkley

Current Club: Everton

Age:  23

Country: England

The Everton midfielder will be a free agent next summer and has already rejected several contract extension offers to ply his trade elsewhere for greater glory. Chelsea, meanwhile, were close to completing a deadline day deal by bringing in Barkley which, however, broke down due to the player’s refusal of joining the Blues. The youngster explained the scenario via his Twitter account and brought an end to all the speculations.

Chelsea have quality options in midfield like N’golo KanteTiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater and Cesc Fabregas. They are top-notch resources but mostly work from a deeper role in the middle of the park. Barkley, however, loves to play in an attacking midfield role behind the forward line, while creating chances and adding goals as well as assists. His inclusion might create an impact similar to what Dele Alli and Kevin De Bruyne are doing for their respective outfits in the league (Tottenham and Manchester City) and the Englishman should benefit the London club with better players around him.

Andrea Belotti

Current Club: Torino

Age: 23

Country: Italy

Alvaro Morata’s latest interview about how he is not enjoying his life in London has fueled speculations on the Spaniard’s Chelsea future and the lack of a quality alternative has troubled Conte to execute his ‘ Plan B’ at times. Michy Batshuayi had a few decent outings but failed to earn Conte’s trust fully and the Blues need someone who will compete with Morata for the first-team slot like what Gabriel Jesus is providing to Manchester City’s talisman Sergio Aguero.

Chelsea were previously linked with Torino’s Andrea Belotti who has a release clause of €100 million. The Azzurri international netted 28 times in 38 outings last season for the Serie A outfit and scored 5 goals in 9 games across all competitions so far during this campaign. Conte is well aware of Belotti’s potential and now needs to break the bank before someone else steals the deal.
