After an average start to the season in the first two games, London outfit Arsenal, are now genuine title contenders and are yet to lose a game ever since. They have stitched up an impressive run of 10 unbeaten games and are in the 4th place in the points table. Summer buys Shkodran Mustafi and Granit Xhaka have been decent this season but the manager will know that his squad still needs a few additions to sustain the early form throughout the season. Injuries to key players will also turn Wenger’s attention towards the transfer market that will be open in January. There are a number of star players linked with a move to the club but here are 2 players who can change their season around:

Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool):

An age old rumors that never dies is Arsenal’s interest in out of favor Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge. The England international is the first choice for England in the current international break but the form of his team mates at the club have reduced him to a place on the bench. He has shown his class in the few outings he got this season and his frustration has seen him linked with a move to the Emirates recently. Though Klopp will not be ready to let him go in January, if Sturridge does not get enough chances by then, Wenger will not think twice about spending.

Still in the hunt for a top class striker, Wenger will know the threat Sturridge can add to the attacking lineup at the club and will surely try and lure him out of Anfield. The chances of this move are farfetched but it is a move that might help the Gunners lift a league title after more than a decade.

Isco (Real Madrid):

The Real Madrid attacker has been at the club for some time now but has not been able to cement a place in the starting lineup this season under Zinedine Zidane. He is a top class player who Real want to keep hold of but the lack of regular playing time might see him make a move in the next two transfer windows. With the likes of Asensio and Morata doing a good job, Arsenal might not find it too hard to persuade the French manager to let the playmaker leave in January.

A former Golden Boy winner, Isco, is a perfect fit for Arsenal’s style of play and a front line of Ozil, Isco, Sanchez and Walcott will make Arsenal unstoppable in the final third. They will need the extra push in the second half of the season to stay at the top of the table and Isco might just be the right man to provide the Gunners with that bit of quality that might help them to some silverware.
