Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City comeback was completed as they moved to the top of the league with a narrow 2-1 win against promoted side Burnley. Sergio Aguero scored a brace to turn the game around before Dean Marney put the hosts in front.
Gudmundsson thudded a drive into Bravo’s chest moments before the Chile international was powerless to keep Marney’s sweetly struck volley out of the bottom left corner.
Nolito was denied by a plunging Robinson save and a lunging Matthew Lowton block in quick succession but Aguero scrambled City level from the latter chance’s resulting corner.
Aguero doubled his tally and put his team in the front seat when Fernandinho picked up the Argentine for a simple finish.
Manchester City looked shaky and not at their best but they managed to get the result and three points as their fans took to twitter to have their say:
