Finally, it’s done. After speculations claiming it to happen for such a long time, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has finally been sacked by the club. There were reports suggesting that the Kop boss would have been removed if his side would lose to Everton. Though the game ended in a draw, yet eventually the board lost its patience and Rodgers was given the boot.
The Reds had won just once in their last nine games and were nowhere near close to the side that finished second in the league in 2014, after challenging for the title. They are tenth in the Premier League with 12 points from eight games at the moment, something the management would not have liked.
