“Time to finish that fraud” – Real Madrid fans react after Champions League round of 16 draw against Manchester City

Real Madrid were set to face one of the group winners and will battle against the English champions

La Liga giants Real Madrid will face Manchester City in what could be the pick of the fixtures in the Champions League round of 16.

Real were guaranteed to face one of the group winners, apart from teams from Spain and PSG, and they got one of the tougher clashes.

Manchester City might be struggling in the Premier League but they have the ability to beat any team.

The Cityzens were denied a place in the semi-finals last season thanks to some VAR drama, and it will be interesting to see how they fare against the Spanish giants.

Real, for their part, were eliminated in the round of 16 last season. Ajax were one of the surprises last time around, however, the Dutch giants couldn’t make it out of the group this time.

City are struggling a bit in the league and lie 14 points behind Liverpool already. Madrid, however, are doing much better and are level on points with Barcelona in La Liga.

Real host City in the first leg in February while they travel to the Etihad for the second leg in March.

Fans ready to beat Pep

Pep Guardiola dominated during his time in La Liga with Barcelona. He created an intense rivalry with Jose Mourinho too but the Portuguese is managing Tottenham now.

Real could face Spurs later on in the competition, however, many fans were excited at the clash coming up.

Eden Hazard could be the key to winning the clash but Real have to be wary of Raheem Sterling and company.

Many fans highlighted that Guardiola was going to lose in this clash. The former Barcelona manager hasn’t been successful in the Champions League since leaving the Catalans.

The Champions League could be the main aim for City after their faltering Premier League campaign. However, the Real fans were convinced of their victory soon:
