Twitter Reactions To Arsenal’s Rumoured To Be The “Next Nicklas Bendtner” Signing – Clearly Not Good

Yes, Arsenal are closing in on their first summer signing in the name of another unknown youngster Aleksandar Mitrovic, dubbed by some of the fans and journalists as the “Next Nicklas Bendtner”.

According to reports back in Serbia and in Sky Italia, Arsenal have closed in on Mitrovic, and the signing could be made official within a week, although it is yet to be confirmed by either of the clubs.

“One of the best young players in Europe. called Aleksandar Mitrovic and who scored 15 goals last season. was born in 1994, played for Partizan Belgrade, along with Lazar Markovic. Arsenal are expected to completed the move next week”

Amidst all the rumours speculating about Yaya Sanogo and Clement Grenier, Arsene has yet again surprised us by going for the 18-year old who is practically unknown for most of us.

Who is he?

Name: MITROVIĆ ALEKSANDAR
Date of Birth: 16.09.1994.
Height: 189cm
Weight: 82kg
Position: ATTACKER
Club:
FC Partizan (Belgrade)
Member of young National
selection of Serbia

What does this transfer mean to Arsenal? Does this mean business done for next season? Mitrovic is no way a finished product and will need a solid 12-months at England before we can judge him. However, this does not mean that Wenger will go out for more proven players. This is just the start, a very modest start. Probably a routine youngster added to the helm each year, but if it goes well the 18-year-old former Partizan prodigy would make the grade, Wenger will have secured an elite striker for a bargain price.

We leave you with some fans reactions in Twitter:
