Liverpool had their first home game this season and it ended with an impressive 4-1 victory against defending champions Leicester City FC. The Reds were in excellent form and two goals from Roberto Firminho and one each from Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana.
The new Liverpool signing Sadio Mane has been impressive since his £30m move to the Anfield. Mane has been impressive so far and while his goal during the match was sandwiched between two goals from Roberto Firminho, Liverpool fans have surely accepted him after this match.
The last match between the Foxes and the Reds had seen Benteke seal Liverpool’s 1-0 victory and this time around Mane, Lallana and Firminho led the reds to victory. Jamie Vardy’s goal was the only consolation for the Foxes.
Liverpool fans are high on the victory right now and seems like many have now accepted Mane as not a big bucks signing but a high-quality player who can bring the glory back to the Anfield.
Here are some of the tweets after the game;

That goal was so good Klopp’s glasses fell off again! Can’t blame Benteke this time tho. Fair to say Anfield is buzzing! #LFC

Sturridge’s backheel was a Christmas gift to Mané wrapped in golden paper. #LFC

We always knew we’d struggle defensively this season. Doesn’t help that Mignolet is still in goal and we have two CMs in defence!!

We’d be so formidable with a reliable defence that could pass out from the back between the midfield lines.

Front three have been exceptional, especially with their movement. Sturridge the pick of the bunch, made both goals and missed a sitter.

Adam Lallana has had an excellent start to season, finally showing form he displayed for Southampton in 2013/14, when he was devastating.

Liverpool haven’t looked this good since the Suarez breakout season. Fun team to watch. Hammering the defending champs. #LFCvLCFC #EPL

Watch everyone slam Henderson for missing that chance when he’s been absolutely outstanding today. Dominated the midfield.

Five wins in a row and we’ve not not really played well. Things will only get better. #Rafalution

Mané looks like the best piece of business we’ve done since Suarez #LFC

So many good things going forward for #LFC today. But Matip looks like the dominant, commanding centre back we’ve desperately needed.

Dominating & clinical. Great performance from #LFC Shame not to keep a clean sheet after another defensive error but attacking was immense.
