The 21 year old player was much talked about when he joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace in the Fergie era and was sent back to loan, only to join the Red Devils at the start of the last season. But due to varied reasons, he has not found his footing in the Premier League as of yet, having only two appearances for United and then having an average stint at Cardiff City during his loan spell. Adding to this, the development of youngster Adnan Januzaj has further hampered his chances of making it to the United’s first XI, which will be further scrutinized by Louis van Gaal. This has prompted the United management to look at possible transfer options and again Newcastle United’s name features high on the list.
