Transfer Roundup – Atletico Wants Suarez, Man City Plan £134M For Madrid Pair, Arsenal Target Zaha, Fernandinho Linked With Manchester United

Wednesday transfer round – up:

Atletico ready to offer 30 Million if Falcao leaves to Chelsea

Atletico wants Suarez:

It is almost certain that Falcao will leave Atletico Madrid for Chelsea this January. With Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich ready to meet the forward’s buy out clause of  €60 million, Atletico will be having a surplus to spend on reinforcements. And it is reported that Atletico Madrid are weighing up a move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Punto Pelota says Atletico have drawn up plans to replace Radamel Falcao and intend to do so with a star name. It will take nothing less than £30 million to lay their hands upon Suarez, who only just extended his contract to 2016. And Should the Reds indicate a willingness to sell, Atletico can expect competition from Manchester City for the Uruguayan.

Arsenal – Zaha:

This has been coming around for sometime now and the move looks more likely to happen as Theo Walcott is yet to extend his contract. 5 of Arsenal’s youngsters including Wilshere, Ramsey and Gibbs extended their contract and there has been no word o the situation of Walcott.

The Telegraph says Wenger has reassured his current players that Arsenal will have the financial firepower to supplement the squad with established quality as well as other emerging young talent. Southampton left-back Luke Shaw and Crystal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha have also been identified as players who could further enhance the core of young British talent.

Man City plan audacious £134M bid for Real Madrid pair Ronaldo, Coentrao:

Manchester City and their owner Sheikh Mansour is set to pull of miracles with amount they have in their kitty. But the news that Man city are preparing an whopping £134M for Real Madrid pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Fabio Coentrao is just hard to believe.

O Jogo says Coentrao has become a mainstay of the Real first team and his compatriot Ronaldo is being courted by affluent French side PSG. According to the Portuguese newspaper, City are prepared to offer £134m for the pair. The one barrier could be that Ronaldo may not to wish to go to the Etihad as he would incur the wrath of bitter rivals Manchester United.

Manchester Clubs linked with Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fernandinho:

Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson is set to break the hearts of their city rivals by luring City target Fernandinho to Old Trafford. The Mirror says City thought they had an agreement with the Shakhtar Donetsk star to move to Eastlands. But now Sir Alex Ferguson has entered the race for the playmaker rated at Euro 20m (£16.5m).

The Ukrainian champions do not need to sell financially and coach Mircea Lucescu is determined to keep together the squad which has reached the knockout stages of the Champions League.
