Player stats

The Frenchman spent his youth career spanning over eight years at his country club Le Mans before breaking into the senior team in 2012.

The 25-year-old then played at the clubs Nancy and Tubize, where he went on to make more than 60 appearances.

Beunardeu joined the Portuguese club last year after signing a contract till 2021.

As far as this season is concerned, he has kept five clean sheets in 19 appearances.

The French shot-stopper has represented his country’s U-19 and U-17 fourteen times.

Why Should Villa pursue?

Niko Kalinic has not been at his best since he moved to Villa Park last season. Meanwhile, Jed Steer who recently returned from injury has just a year left in his contract. Hence, Buenardeau will be an interesting addition to Dean Smith’s side.

Possibilities

Aves are currently fighting out to avoid the possible relegation. This would definitely make the Frenchman change his mind and seek an exit from the club.

Difficulties

The report also states Ligue 1 sides Monte Pillar and Nice were also interested in the goalkeeper alongside the interests from English clubs.
