Transfer Boost For Chelsea: Manager Admits Players’ Future Is Not In His Hands

Chelsea have already purchased Michy Batshuayi but according to several (almost all) sources, Antonio Conte is still looking to add some more firepower to the Chelsea side.

If the media reports are anything to go by then Chelsea are most interested in their former player Romelu Lukaku. However, Everton had been playing hardball with the Blues lately and after the sale of John Stones, it did not feel like they will let any more big names leave the club. Until now!

Ronald Koeman, the man who replaced Roberto Martinez at Everton has said in a recent interview that keeping hold of Lukaku is out of his control now. While he did not give away much as to what may happen, conceding defeat in keeping hold of a 25 goal striker says pretty much all that Chelsea fans need to know. Lukaku is valued at approximately £65 million by Everton and if they sell the Belgian for the said price the Toffees will make a nice £115 million restructuring fee.

This is what Koeman had to say about Lukaku’s move to Chelsea.

“He is still an Everton player but finally, the board makes those kind of decisions.

“Of course, I would like to keep all my best players but I know football. I know business. Let’s wait.
