TRANSFER BLOW for Arsenal and Liverpool as French target linked with Serie A move

Arsenal and Liverpool are set to lose out on €9 million rated Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac as Serie A sides Inter and AC Milan are now considered as favorites to sign him according to laprovence.com

The 29-year old has been in terrific form this season and has scored 12 goals in 17 games in the French league. He cost Marseille €16 Mil in 2010 but failed to live up to the fans’ expectation in his 1st season as he managed just eight goals. Gignac did however, improve his goal scoring record in his second and third seasons at the club with 13 and 16 goals respectively.

Gignac’s current contract with Marseille expires end of this season, but since the contract talks are not happening, Marseille will prefer selling him now instead of losing him for free in the Summer . Premier league clubs Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with Gignac in the last few months but it looks like he is heading to play his trade in Italy.
