Arsenal host West Ham United later tonight in what could be a close battle between two sides who are in desperate need for points. Having knocked out Wigan Athletic in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, the Gunners would be on a high but they cannot ill afford to lose points and hope that Everton can drop somewhere in the remaining 5 games to finish inside the top 4.
On the other hand, Arsenal have been given a major injury boost as the likes of Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny, Tomas Rosicky and Abou Diaby all took part in training with the rest of the Arsenal squad today. Aaron Ramsey who made his first start since the Boxing day against Wigan had a decent outing and would be available for this one as well.
Talking about the injuries yesterday, Wenger stated:
“I cannot give you complete team news because many of them have to be checked today. We have plenty of uncertainties for muscular problems and fatigue.
Who could be available who was not in the squad on Saturday? Maybe Rosicky and Koscielny – we’ll have to test him definitely today. There are plenty of uncertainties so I have to make up my mind late on.”
However, it is a beautiful sight for the Arsenal fans to see the likes of Ozil, Rosicky and the forgotten Abou Diaby back in training.
