Tottenham’s Dream XI If They Manage To Sign Their Latest Target From Serie A

Tottenham’s Dream XI (After Jan Transfer Window)

Tottenham have been strongly linked with Atalanta youngster Franck Kessie. The 20-year old has been extremely impressive for the Italian side and has attracted interest from several bigwigs from across Europe. But Spurs are believed to be ahead in the race for the Ivory Coast international, having reportedly already made a £19.4 million bid.

Kessie is a hugely talented central midfielder and has been on brilliant form this season, having already scored 6 times and assisted one goal so far for Atalanta in the Serie A. Intelligent in possession and skilful with the ball at his feet, it has been hardly a surprise that he has garnered so much interest.

Spurs are quite well-equipped in the middle of the park with Victor Wanyama, Eric Dier and Moussa Dembele, all performing exceeding well this season. But with such strong interest in the player, a move might just take place and we take a look at how the North Londoners would line up if they bring in Kessie.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Hugo Lloris (GK)

The Spurs captain has led the team with great inspiration and continues to put in strong performances in the Tottenham goal week in week out.

Kyle Walker (RB)

Another key performer for Spurs, Walker has been in brilliant form this season. His energy down the right-flank is extremely important for the way Spurs play.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

One of the best defenders in the Premier League without a doubt. Pace, good tackles, reads the game well and a huge threat from set-pieces, the Belgian has everything going for him. Add to that his supreme distribution skills from the back, he is irreplaceable for Pochettino.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Alderweireld’s compatriot has been an ever-present for Spurs over the past few seasons and has continued his strong performances this term as well. He is one of the main reasons Spurs have such an excellent defensive record.

Danny Rose (LB)

The England left-back isn’t always given the credit he deserves, but he has been top class this season. The winner he scored against Burnley last week underlined his importance to the team.

Victor Wanyama (DM)

The summer signing has been nothing short of destructive in the midfield. The Kenyan has been doing what he does best, breaking up attacks with interceptions and crunching tackles and has been a great addition to Spurs midfield.

Franck Kessie (DM)

The 20-year old will probably slot in alongside a defensive-minded Wanyama in midfield if Spurs sign him in January. He may not get the same amount of opportunities that he gets at Atalanta, due to the presence of Eric Dier and Moussa Dembele, but judging by his displays, he will surely be a future star.

Christian Eriksen (RW)

The Danish International has hit a sudden upturn in form and has been brilliant for the Lilywhites in the recent weeks playing from the right-flank.

Dele Alli (CAM)

The Englishman hasn’t hit the heights that he achieved last season, but still remains a key man for Pochettino and Spurs. With the Londoners struggling for goals this term, he is one player who could chip in with goals in plenty from the midfield.

Erik Lamela (LW)

Lamela, before he got injured, was having a great season and was influencing things in the final third of the pitch. Expect him to return to the playing XI as soon as he is fit.

Harry Kane (ST)

Tottenham’s main source of goals. Where would Spurs be without Kane? Pochettino’s men struggled to carry the goalscoring mantle during Kane’s absence early in the season. He is the most important member in the Spurs’ squad.
