Tottenham Superstar Set To Join Manchester United, As Spurs Look To Sign Former Arsenal Target

Reports in the French media suggest that Tottenham Hotspur are targeting Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, if Hugo Lloris decides to join Manchester United this summer. Mandanda was also wanted by Arsenal prior to their signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea, which will now allow Spurs to sign the France international if his compatriot decides to leave White Hart Lane.

Le10 Sport posted an article on French journalist Pierre Menes’ comments, who believes now there could be a potential merry-go-round, with Arsenal signing the Czech Republic international.

He further believes that it all depends on whether Real Madrid can sign De Gea this summer or not, as it would mean that the Red Devils will look to find a top class replacement.

Tottenham’s Lloris was strongly linked with Louis van Gaal’s side, if the Spaniard does return to his native country. Also, with the Gunners signing Cech, their north London rivals would target Mandanda.

Speaking about the whole situation, Menes said, “Steve Mandanda has real desires elsewhere and could benefit from a game of musical chairs if David De Gea was to sign for Real Madrid”
