Son Heung-Min The Hero: The Best And Worst Rated Tottenham Players Vs Millwall

Tottenham Hotspur continued their good run of form after scoring six past Millwall in their FA Cup quarterfinal tie to comfortably put themselves into the semi-finals of the competition. The win is so much so important as FA cup is their only realistic shot at silverware this season. Here’s how Mauricio Pochettino’s men fared against their opponents.

Tottenham Player Ratings Vs Millwall

Michel Vorm 6/10

The Dutch shot-stopper didn’t have much to do and was barely threatened. He was troubled on a rare start but his distribution was good.

Kieran Trippier 7/10

Got a sublime assist for Son’s goal and he was terrific with his deliveries into the danger zones throughout the night. Did well overall in the right-back position.

Toby Alderweireld 7/10

The centre-back was strong and dependable as usual. His cross-field passing was also brilliant as he kept the door shut of the heart of the Spurs defence

Jan Vertonghen 7/10

His runs from the back were eye catching and linked up well with his other team-mates. He defended bravely. After an initial few tricky moments but eventually asserted himself.

Eric Dier 7/10

Strong as a rock in a three-man defence and wasn’t caused many problems by Millwall. Dealt well with whatever came his way. Was confident on the right side of the back three.

Ben Davies 7/10

Been doing increasingly well and has improved in the left-back role since Danny Rose’s absence. He charged up and down the left flank to give Spurs the width they required.

Victor Wanyama 7/10

Finally looking like a Spurs player. He stopped almost every attack in midfield and hit the crossbar with a header from the corner, battled well throughout.

Harry Winks 6/10

Was oozing confidence and produced a mature display. Made things tick along in midfield alongside Wanyama.

Dele Alli 8/10

Another classy performance and another goal for the attacker. Made space and threatening forward runs and was spot on with his positioning.

Harry Kane 6/10

Was forced off early on after losing his balance and injuring his ankle just after 10 minutes.

Heung-Min Son 9/10

The South Korean was the star of the night as he grabbed a hat-trick after responding to the Millwall fans’ chants. Put in tremendous work-rate, energy and finished really well.

Substitutes:

Christian Eriksen 7/10

Came on for Kane early on and opened the scoring. His skill and craft also created two more goals.

Vincent Janssen 7/10

Scored in the 17 minutes he was given on the field, looked in good touch.

Moussa Sissoko 6/10

Came on late and made a few driving runs from midfield to cause Millwall a few problems.
