Why This Tottenham Midfielder Would Be A Great Buy For Newcastle United

One of Tottenham’s young stars could be on his way out of the club as the London club look to make some money in the transfer window. Alex Pritchard was a player who was sent out on loan to West Bromwich Albion last season but injuries and a lack of playing time meant that he only made 4 appearances for the Baggies last season as he returned to Tottenham.

The 23-year-old had only signed a new four-year deal with Spurs last season but it seems that Mauricio Pochettino wants to sell the starlet and one team in particular is in the market for the England U21 player and that is Newcastle United.

Rafa Benitez has to rejig his side since there will be a number of players leaving the Magpies this season as they look to gain promotion from the Championship and well, Pritchard could be a cheap signing that actually might do well for the side.

While he did struggled to play for West Brom last season, Pritchard knows the Championship route extremely well thanks to his time with Brentford in the 2014-15 season. The 23-year-old scored 12 goals for the side and created umpteen chances for the side during his spell there.

Newcastle could see him as a great option to have but instead of signing him for the reported £8 million, the Magpies should look to bring the player on loan, which would also mean a low risk opportunity for both the player and the club.

Tottenham need to send their young players with potential to clubs which actually play some decent football and are constantly challenging for something. Newcastle would be looking to make it back to the Premier League and with Rafa Benitez at the helm; there might be a lot of chances of young players to do well at the club.

Pritchard was one of the best players at Brentford a couple of seasons ago and was even named as the Brentford Players’ Player of the year. He was also included in the Football League Championship PFA Team of the Year.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is on his last chance of making a big name for himself and if he does not take his chance at Newcastle, he would be yet another player who is lost in the doldrums of English football. Newcastle is a big enough club to give him a good chance at achieving success and if he does move to the club, it might just be the start of another great career for a young Tottenham player who could play at the Lane in the coming years.
