English news outlet the Daily Star has reported that Tottenham are interested in making a move for Serie A starlet Luiz Felipe. The 22-year-old Brazilian has been in great form for Lazio, slowly climbing up the ranks at the club.
He joined as a teenager from Ituano and has proven to be a big hit, even flourishing when sent out on loan. Felipe joined Salernitana on a season-long loan after signing for Lazio. He honed his talents there, proving to be one of their best players, despite being a teenager.
The 22-year-old has only grown in stature, becoming one of the Biancocelesti’s best young stars. Luiz Felipe has played in 50 games, since returning from his loan spell.
This includes 10 in last season’s Europa League, missing just two games, as Lazio made it all the way to the quarterfinals.
Felipe has become a consistent presence at the back, using his versatility to play across the back-line. This includes his preferred position as a center-back, which is where the 22-year-old flourishes. He would be a great addition to Tottenham; with his combination of pace, technique, and strength.
Luiz Felipe has made 19 appearances this season, missing games only through suspensions and a few hamstring injuries.
The North London side need a new centre-back in the summer, especially with Toby Alderweireld’s future up in the air. The 30-year-old recently signed a new contract with Tottenham but that included a
£25m release clause in the summer.
This has attracted both Manchester United and Arsenal (Daily Mail). When trying to chase after Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League, losing someone like Toby Alderweireld will hurt the club.
However, it is one they can solve by adding Luiz Felipe, who’ll be a bargain at £17million (Tuttomercatoweb).

Tottenham need reinforcements next summer, as not spending any money over the last year has hurt the club this season. A player like Luiz Felipe would be a great addition to any team.
