Top Four Midfielders Who Will Take The Premier League By A Storm Including Arsenal, Chelsea & Man City Stars

The Top four midfielders to look out for in the 2014-15 EPL Season

Louis Van Gaal is set to usher a new era at Manchester United, while Chelsea looks to have accumulated a terrific squad. Liverpool go into the season without Luis Suarez while Wenger’s frowns looks to get straight. The question however remains can Manuel Pellegrini retain the title?  With the long awaited Premier League season, starting in under a month’s time, we take a look at the top four midfielders to look out for in the 2014-15 campaign.

Cesc Fabregas:

Arsenal’s pain will certainly be Chelsea’s gain so far what has turned out regarding the Cesc Fabregas saga. The Blues manager Jose Mourinho recently stated that Fabregas had no intention on rejoining former club Arsenal from Barcelona but in hindsight we all know what the truth was. It is believed that Arsenal had first refusal on the player but Gunners’ manager reportedly was unwilling to take his former captain back to the Emirates. The reason being debatable, how would you fit in Cesc thanks to the plethora of options that Wenger has in the middle of the park. This throws up the age old question: players for the tactics or tactics for the players. The only criticism reserved for Wenger would be that there is a saying, “You find a way how to accommodate World class players in your starting eleven.”

Chelsea though would be overjoyed by acquiring the services of the Spaniard and Mourinho might play the 2010 World Cup winner as a deep lying playmaker who will be joined by Nemanja Matic, the latter who is adept at screening the back four. Moreover Fabregas has can also be deployed as a more attacking midfielder donning the number ten role or even drafting in a false nine position if required. There is no doubt of Fabregas’ quality and his elegant poise on the ball but it would be interesting to see how the player will fare in his return to the Premier League.
