The Uruguayan international was making waves with his incredible goalscoring heroics at Ajax in the Eredivisie when Liverpool forked out £22.7million to bring him to Anfield in January 2011, and Kenny Dalglish’s decision proved to be a super hit.
Suarez often came under scrutiny for several disciplinary issues but he made sure that those blemishes were overshadowed by his prolific form in front of goal.

Suarez plundered 69 goals in 110 appearances for the Reds and while his departure to Barcelona in 2014 wasn’t a happy one for the fans, he certainly did enough to leave his legacy behind at Merseyside.
Having completed a £56million move to Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund back in January 2018, the Gabonese international has continued to fire on all cylinders in the Premier League.
Following a bright start to life in North London under Arsene Wenger, Aubameyang went on to share the 2018-19 Premier League Golden Boot with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, scoring 22 times as Arsenal secured a respectable 5th-place finish.
The 30-year-old, who plundered 31 goals in all competitions last season, was also instrumental in Arsenal’s march to the final of the UEFA Europa League.
Despite Arsenal’s struggles in the ongoing campaign, Aubameyang has once again hit the ground running with 14 goals in all competitions so far this term, and an overall tally of 45 goals in 69 Premier League games makes him arguably the decade’s most effective January signing.
Chelsea have grabbed the headlines with some blockbuster signings in the Roman Abramovich era, and while Garry Cahill doesn’t really fall within the bracket of a big-money signing, the centre-back is right up there with the best when it comes to the list of most effective recruits at Stamford Bridge.
Signed from Bolton Wanderers for a fee of just £7million in January 2012, Cahill went on to enjoy a trophy-laden spell in West London, winning the UEFA Champions League, 2 UEFA Europa League crowns, 2 Premier League titles and 2 FA Cup medals before departing as a free agent to join Crystal Palace this past summer.
