Top 3 EPL Destinations For Aubameyang If He Decides To Leave Bundesliga Featuring Liverpool And Man United

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang To Leave Borussia Dortmund? Here Are 3 Premier League Destinations For The Striker

With the January window coming up, all eyes are on the big clubs to see who they sell and who they purchase. Everytime a transfer window comes up, the big players end up getting linked with exits from their current clubs. This time, one of the names to do the rounds is Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The player almost left the German giants in the summer but no move materialised and he had to stay back at Dortmund.

However, things have not been all that great for him at the club this season. His goal tally remains admirable, as the player produced 13 goals in 17 appearances across competitions for Dortmund. Yea, he was recently dropped for the game against VfB Stuttgart for disciplinary reasons. It is obviously not a deal-breaker but it does reflect as to how everything may not be hunky-dory for Aubameyang at Dortmund.

He has been linked with an exit for a while now and perhaps this January, the striker will finally get to move. It is being reported that Dortmund are willing to let go of him for £54million in January. That price tag may seem hefty but considering the astronomical rates that the transfers touched over the summer, £54m is not all that expensive for a striker in such fine form. With that said, let’s take a look at 3 Premier League clubs Aubameyang could join in January.

Chelsea

Chelsea have been linked with him since last summer and January might just be the time for them to snag their target. Although Antonio Conte has summer recruit Alvaro Morata in the ranks, the former Real Madrid star has struggled to fill the void left behind by Diego Costa. His pace and finishing prowess are being missed at Stamford Bridge and Aubameyang could prove to be a viable option to provide that much-needed depth and to offer competition to Morata.

Liverpool

Another suitable destination for Aubameyang will be Liverpool. Roberto Firmino has primarily been deployed as the striker for the club but he lacks the poaching instinct a striker must have. Aubameyang is a certain upgrade on Firmino and fits the bill perfectly. Jurgen Klopp’s intense attack-oriented style is likely to help the striker play to the best of his ability, making it an ideal match.

Manchester United

Now, this might be a long shot but the player was linked with a move to join the Red Devils over the summer. One might argue that Jose Mourinho already has the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic but the fact remains that Lukaku’s goals have dried up and Ibrahimovic cannot be played regularly – which is what led to his season-ending injury last term. Hence, bringing in another striker as skilled as Aubameyang could vastly boost United’s power up front.
