Fiorentina team mate Luca Toni advised Jovetic to ditch his plans of moving to Arsenal and should wait for an offer from much bigger club.
Jovetic has himself admitted few days back that he would love a move to the exciting premier league and also admired Arsenal personally.
According to Football Italia, Toni said:
“I tell him to think carefully before leaving Florence, as there is an important project here. If he has to leave, then make it for a real top club. Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United fit that bill, but Arsenal are not better than Fiorentina.”
It’s understandable that Toni might say this, as Jovetic is obviously a player who could make it to the very top. A move away from Italy looks imminent but which premier league club will he sign for? Manchester United and Manchester City are also interested in signing him.
Also, Jovetic has to consider if he’d get game time at these other clubs. We don’t want another talent like Nasri warming bench at Ethihad. United especially, have a lot of other strikers that would probably get in ahead of him. At Arsenal Jovetic could get a real chance to play regularly at the top level.
