Predicted Huddersfield Lineup To Face Crystal Palace On The Opening Day Of The 2017/18 Campaign
Huddersfield Town will begin their maiden Premier League campaign with a trip to the Selhurst Park, to take on Crystal Palace, on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers made it to the top-flight after defeating Reading in the finals of the playoffs and will be looking to make a statement upon their return to the first division in 45 years. Led by manager David Wagner, the club has been one of the most active in the transfer market and have brought in a number of new faces. A Palace side in transition under their new boss Frank de Boer could prove to be the right opponent to kickstart the season in style.

Defenders Martin Craine and Jon Gorenc-Stankovic are ruled out of the game due to hip and knee injuries respectively. Midfielder Jonathan Hogg and striker Nahki Wells are also set to miss out.

The summer signing from FC Koln is set to start between the sticks at the Selhurst Park in the opening clash.
Tommy Smith (RB)
The 25-year old had an excellent campaign last time around, scoring 4 and assisting 8. A definite starter at right-back.
Christopher Schindler (CB)
The German was a solid operator in the Championship last season. It will be interesting to see how he fares against the likes of Christian Benteke.
Zanka (CB)
The Danish international signed for the club in the summer and has slotted in nicely alongside Schindler. Likely to start at the heart of the defence, ahead of Michael Hefele.
Chris Lowe (LB)
Scott Malone from Fulham is a very good acquisition, no doubt, but we could see Wagner stick with Chris Lowe on the left-hand side of the defence.
Danny Williams (CM)
Another summer signing from Reading, the midfielder is likely get the nod on the big day ahead of Phillip Billing.
Aaron Mooy (CM)
Was the Terriers’ best player last season when on loan from Manchester City. Having made the move a permanent one now, he will be a constant fixture in the starting XI.
Tom Ince (RW)
The promising attacker gets another shot to showcase that he can cut it out in the Premier League. Could be the game changer if he gets going.
Kasey Palmer (CAM)
The American youngster has joined on loan from Chelsea and has impressed in the pre-season. Should start in behind the striker.
Rajiv van La Parra (LW)
Was a regular last season in the attack, and has been heavily involved in pre-season too. Should start on the left flank, ahead of Elias Kachunga.
Steve Mounie (ST)
The club record-signing, signed from French club Montpellier, Mounie is coming on the back of a strong season in the Ligue1. He will be keen on hitting the ground running in England.
