Time To Leave Liverpool: Three Possible Destinations For This 27-year Old Attacker

Image result for Daniel Sturridge 2016-17

Since his arrival at Anfield, Daniel Sturridge started to show the talent that both Manchester City and Chelsea missed. Daniel has been a great figure for Liverpool and one of the referents of the team, creating great associations with Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez when the two players were teammates with Sturridge. He has displayed his quality along these years, but times have changed and it seems like Daniel will look for a new destination as soon as possible, as he is becoming a completely out of favoured attacker for Jurgen Klopp.

Sturridge has been one of the best strikers in Premier League and was a vital player for Liverpool their run for the title with Gerrard and Suarez. Although he’s been in a great shape along these years, after Brendan Rodgers departures he hasn’t had many opportunities in Jurgen Klopp’s team, as Klopp now has a favourite trio in his lineup confirmed by Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho.

It is not a surprise that Daniel lost his spot after the arrival of these strikers, and seeing his lack of action this season, he will try to sign with a different team this January or next summer. Daniel is only 27 and he surely will count with plenty of offers this next winter transfer window. We’ll try to figure out three of the best options for Daniel if he leaves Merseyside anytime soon-

Napoli-

The Italian team appears like one of the frontrunners for signing Sturridge in the next months, as they have lost Gonzalo Higuain and the purchase of Arkadiusz Milik hasn’t had the result they expected at the beginning of the season, and Napoli will reportedly try to acquire Sturridge during the next transfer window. He can be a great fit for Napoli seeing the slow pace Serie A has in comparison to Premier League.

AC Milan-

Another historical team that, even if it’s not going through it’s best moment, still counts with a big amount of fans around the world. One of the traditional teams in Europe is also trying to purchase Sturridge this next winter, and seeing the age of their  best striker, Carlos Bacca, and the rumours of departures by the Colombian, Milan will try to reinforce or replace this position with Daniel. Milan is rebuilding itself, and so is Sturridge. If you ask me, this purchase could be a win-win for both parts.

Paris Saint-Germain-

The French champion is set to make Sturridge one of its new incorporations in coming winter. PSG have lost their shape after Ibrahimovic’s departure last summer and given how inconsistent Edinson Cavani is, Sturridge could be the addition the Parisian team needs to supply the lack of consistency from the Uruguayan.

Daniel counts with more options to sign, such as English teams West Ham and Southampton, but obviously, they won’t be the first option for Daniel at the time of signing, unless Sturridge wants to stay playing in Premier League. Sturridge won’t miss options this next January but depending on his decision, he could re-launch his career or keep stuck in his low level.
