Time for goodbye? Everton parting ways with their £13.5m star would be a good move for both the parties

Everton opinion – Oumar Niasse wanted by Besiktas – Good move?

According to a report in Wales Online, Everton striker Oumar Niasse is ready to quit the club and is unlikely to stay in the Premier League. The 29-year-old, who is currently plying his trade on loan at Cardiff City, has been linked with Turkish giants Besiktas.

There are suggestions that the player is ready to quickly settle down in Turkey from next season onwards (h/t Senegalese outlet Wiwsport).

He aims to get his career back on track before it gets complicated in England (h/t Wiwsport). At 29, the Senegal international still has a chance to enhance his quality as a striker.

Niasse joined Everton back in 2016 for a fee of around £13.5m, (h/t BBC) but hasn’t really taken his chances at Goodison Park. Here are a few reasons why the Toffees would be right to sell him in the summer transfer window:

This deal would suit both parties

Since his arrival in England, Niasse has struggled to be a regular first-team player for Everton. He spent most of his time in loan spells at Hull City and now Cardiff City.

With only five league appearances in the first half of this season, it was clear that Marco Silva didn’t fancy him in his long-term plans. Furthermore, the Senegal international’s playing style as a striker is quite different from what the manager wants at Everton.

Looking at an example, we have seen the best of Everton when Dominic Calvert-Lewin – a dynamic centre-forward, has started games for them. Safe to say, Niasse is a different prospect. He is more of a poacher.

Moreover, the 29-year-old has struggled to harness much impact when playing for Hull and Cardiff as well. Hence, it is clear that he is struggling to adjust to life in the Premier League even after three years.

Conclusion

With all that being mentioned above, there is only one solution to this situation – Everton selling Oumar Niasse in the summer window. His contract expires next season, thus this is the last chance for the Toffees to get some money out of this sale.

If ever there is a situation of a deal suiting all parties, this is the one!
