With Tottenham confirming that Fernando Llorente will leave the club coming to the end of his contract, the former Swansea City striker would be a brilliant option for a few sides. A big burly centre-forward, the 34-year-old has been a brilliant servant for the club.
Despite playing second fiddle to Harry Kane, Llorente has still managed to net 13 goals in just over 60 appearances for the club. Not only that, he’s contributed to six assists over the course of his Tottenham career with a majority of that coming this season.
It’s why, he still has a future in the Premier League and that being said, here are three Premier League sides who should make a move for the Tottenham star.
The Hammers need a bonafide centre-forward to lead their team into the future, and that’s exactly what someone like Fernando Llorente can do. A proven striker, the 34-year-old would be absolutely perfect and with West Ham losing Andy Carroll, they need a replacement.
Add that to Marko Arnautovic’s uncertain future and it leaves the club without a reliable replacement. For someone who spent just one season in the Premier League before joining Tottenham, Fernando Llorente has done exceptionally well.
His free agency will only serve to help the club as it allows the club to splurge on areas that actually need additions.
Between Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Everton’s centre-forwards have netted a total of 9 goals together. While the latter has contributed more to that total than Tosun has, it shows just why Everton need a new centre-forward to add to their collection.
It’s exactly where someone like Fernando Llorente steps in and while he is getting older, Llorente has shown that he can contribute when required. It’s a requirement that the Toffees need to achieve their rather lofty ambitious, and that is something Llorente can help them with.

If there is one club in the Premier League who needs a consistent goalscorer, it’s Crystal Palace, especially after their struggles this season. The Eagles had a terrible first half of the season, barely scoring any goals.
The addition of Michy Batshuayi changed things, but the Belgian is only a loanee. It’s why a move for Fernando Llorente makes a lot of sense and despite his age, he would be an upgrade over Christian Benteke.
The Spaniard has adjusted very well to the Premier League and even if the club does get another striker, he’s shown a willingness to play second fiddle.
