Time for goodbye? 2 ideal Premier League destinations for Crystal Palace’s £70m star including Leicester

Two ideal destinations for Crystal Palace sensation Wilfried Zaha

Wilfried Zaha was a talismanic figure for Crystal Palace last season. He was one of their driving forces in the attack and also one of the biggest threats in the Premier League.

The Eagles made one of the worst starts in the previous campaign, losing the first seven games without scoring a single goal in reply. However, the former Manchester United winger flourished his newfound striker’s role.

The Ivorian made a total of 28 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring 9 goals and providing 3 assists in that time. Zaha was in sizzling form as he ghosted past defenders with his slick moves and silky turns. But the midfielder has now claimed that he would like to move away from Selhurst Park in search of pastures anew.

Zaha recently penned a five-year deal with the club last year, and as a result, Palace have slapped a £70million price tag on the player. Due to his high price, a number of clubs might pull out of the race. Here, we take a look at two ideal clubs for the former Manchester United winger.

Everton

Everton are rebuilding their squad under Marco Silva this summer. The club have gotten off to a rocking start with a 22-0 win against Austrian outfit ATV Irdning during a recent friendly. And Silva could definitely use a player like Zaha in his ranks.

Winger Yannick Bolasie was out injured on the sidelines for a prolonged period last season and Zaha could take his place. He would offer considerable depth and strength to Everton’s squad. Zaha is versatile enough to play in a number of positions up front, meaning the likes of Cenk Tosun, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Theo Walcott would thrive in his presence.

Wilfried Zaha

Leicester City

The Foxes have just sold Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City for a reported fee of around £60million. Hence, they must replace him immediately since the Algerian was an important figure at the club. To that end, Zaha could be the perfect player to take his place. They both possess a similar style of play, except that Mahrez is more of a set-piece specialist.

Jamie Vardy definitely needs a new partner in crime and that man should be Wilfried Zaha. He would bring in the required pace and energy for the Foxes, thus establishing a formidable new partnership with Vardy as well. Claude Puel should certainly make a move for the in-demand player before another club snaps him up.
