Chelsea have been looking out to sign Alex Teixeira since a long time. Latest reports suggest that the Blues are nearing the completion in the signing of the player. As such the reports from Telegraph suggest that the Premier league club had to offer a sum to lure the player.

On the other hand, The Times suggests that Branislav Ivanovic is ready to sign a new contract with regards to Chelsea. Ivanovic’s existing contract is set to expire and following the news that the player has attracted interest from Inter Milan and Fiorentina, Chelsea are prepared to sit down with the player.

While the Telegraph claims that Chelsea is nearing to sign a long-term deal with Ruben Loftus- Cheek.

Elsewhere, the Chile manager Jorge Sampaoli, one of Roman Abramovich’s targets for the role of long-term successor to Jose Mourinho, has told the Chelsea owner, (according to Metro cited by Telegraph) who have taken the quotes from Don Balon, that he will only consider taking the job if the Blues buy his compatriot Alexis Sánchez from Arsenal.
