It was always understood that Liverpool would face difficulty to life without Luis Suarez. But nobody could perceive that the problems would be so surmountable. After losing to Aston Villa last weekend and gaining a very hard earned win against Ludogrates in the Champions League, they slumped to another defeat against West Ham this time. Before they could get a feel of the match, they were 2-0 down and never looked threatening. Brenan Rodgers must think out of the box now to improve the condition of the team and make an impact. Here we present three areas where Rodgers should focus immediately.
The shambolic defence:
Liverpool never had a very promising defence. They faltered at the back and made up for it by outscoring the opponents. But without the services of Luis Suarez, it will be very difficult for them to outscore the opponents. In these circumstances, they need to hold their end and make sure that they do not concede cheap goals which they have been over the years. And frankly, Rodgers has no excuse for this defence as he was given a huge sum of money and the green light to go after the defenders of his will. Liverpool have brought three new defenders namely Moreno, Lovren and Manquillo who have walked straight into the team. But even after all these, the defensive organization is missing and the only person to be blamed for this is Brendan Rodgers. The sooner he realises this, the better for him.
