Three Thierry Henry Alternatives Arsenal Need To Sign In Summer

Share

If at all cloning was legalized, Arsenal’s search for the next Thierry Henry wouldn’t have been such an indefinite struggle. Trophyless for about nine years, manager Arsene Wenger hasn’t able to find a suitable alternative for the king of Highbury. As I write this the Gunners are on their way to Wembley for the semi finals of the FA Cup looking to end their barren spell without silverware. The London club are linked to a plethora of names but who can fill in the boots of the legend revered here at the Emirates. Today we here at Soccersouls give our readers the three possible options.

1. Loic Remy:

According to major tabloids, Arsene Wenger has his sights firmly on Newcastle striker Loic Remy who is on loan from Championship side QPR. Remy has a agreement release clause clause of 8 million in his contract that can allow him to rescind his contract with his parent club so that he can move elsewhere. Remy has single handedly carried the Magpies this campaign, scoring 13 goals and 2 assists. The Frenchman has all the required attributes to be a successful player at Emirates and will give Olivier Giroud a run for his money for a place in the starting eleven.

2. Julian Draxler

Draxler

This is perhaps the umpteenth time, I have said that the Schalke youngster will be an Arsenal player by next summer. A brilliant player on his day, capable of playing as an advanced playmaker and also can play just off the main striker is exactly what Wenger needs to reinvigorate his side when they are not having a good day on the pitch. The twenty year old German is the most sought after player in Europe thanks to his dazzling dynamism and poise on the ball. Bayern Munich are also interested in the Schalke man hence Wenger needs to act quick and splash the cash to land him at the Emirates.

3. Jese

The twenty one year oldie  shaping up to be a future Real Madrid hero, but his rise through the ranks has left Morata looking out of sorts. Arsene Wenger has been time and again linked to the latter but by the looks of it the Galacticos are demanding a huge fee for his signature. Rather, Arsenal can pursue their chase for Jese’s shoulders which are broad enough to carry the weight of expectation that comes with his high potential. He will not come cheap though costing perhaps the same as Morata but way more effective.
