Arsenal are having an unbelievable season so far. The league leaders are sitting 5 points clear of the second placed Chelsea team. But still there are few doubts whether Arsenal have enough fuel in them to keep all guns blazing till the end of this season.
Arsenal do have a tremendous depth in their midfield areas. With the likes of Ozil, Cazorla, Ramsey and Jack Wilshere weaving their magic in the middle, it can be said that the gunners have the best midfield in the country.
But there is still one weak point in the team. That is their lack of depth in the striking department. Other than Olivier Giroud, they have only Bendtner as a backup. A title winning side should have more than that. So, who should Arsenal sign to solve this issue? The first realistic name that comes to my mind is Karim Benzema from Real Madrid. Karim Benzema belongs to a rare breed of strikers that is called as “Fox In The Box”. He has that instinct of a fox inside the penalty box. He can easily stealth past the defenders into some dangerous goal scoring positions. Even though he cannot hold the ball like Giroud, he has his own strengths like dribbling, long shots, one touch passes, etc..
Another French Gem
Arsene Wenger is known for buying troubled French talents and grooming them into world class talents. Players like Henry, Pires, Vieira, Nasri are the living examples for it. Benzema is indeed a troubled soul right now. He is finding it hard to keep up with the high expectations level they expect from him at Real Madrid. But with the guidance and experience of Arsene Wenger, Benzema can become one of the best strikers in the game.
Squad Depth
Addition of Benzema will add a good depth to this technically superior Arsenal team. Imagine an attacking lineup that has Benzema, Giroud, Walcott, Ox and Podolski. With the help from their sublime midfielders, this strike force will have all it takes to conquer the league title again.
