When Arsenal’s transfer budget was revealed by the Mirror, to say that fans were not happy would be a massive understatement. The club needs changes across the board and it has to be world-class players for them to be able to challenge for a top-four spot.
But with a £45million transfer budget (plus player sales), targets like Samuel Umtiti, Nicolas Pepe and even Nicolo Barella all look like they are beyond reach. Yet, given the state of affairs at Arsenal, manager Unai Emery has a lot to do but not a lot to do it with.
That being said, here are three realistic moves that the club can make.
With Norwich City promoted to the Premier League, manager Daniel Farke might have a hard time in keeping hold of some of his stars.
The likes of Max Aarons, Emiliano Buendia and Ben Godfrey have been in exceptional form but Arsenal should only consider the centre-back (Sun).
Tall, versatile and reliable as a centre-back or as a left-back, the 21-year-old has a bright bright future ahead of him and it’s one that Arsenal need. With the core of their defence moving rapidly past the age of 30, someone like Godfrey can be just the man to freshen things up.
25 years old and Ryan Fraser has finally had his breakout season. The Scottish international has been one of the Premier League’s standout players and that has seen Arsenal get linked with a move (Metro).
But that should come as no surprise, with the 25-year-old contributing to 21 goals in the Premier League, including 14 assists.
Add that lethality to his speed, strength and ability on the ball and it makes him a brilliant signing. Plus the fact that he’s taken to the Premier League brilliantly, simply adds to his value.

For a club needing a cheap replacement for Aaron Ramsey, the Gunners cannot go wrong with Joan Jordan. A product of Espanyol’s youth academy, the 24-year-old has already amassed 195 appearances in his career, honing his skills in Spain.
Technically adept and yet defensively solid, Jordan combines the best of both worlds to devastating effect, contributing to eight goals. Furthermore, he is one of the few players in La Liga who has managed to create over 40 chances and make 40 tackles.
It shows just why the Gunners have been heavily linked with a move (Football Espana). Signing him would be a great move and Emery must go for him.
